Historic Home = Nickel Trifecta & Unique Silver Pin. Happy to mop up these low tones!
I hit a home in a historic district about 45 minutes drive. Most of the oldest homes in this area have been hunted very well over the years. But I was able to get permission at one where they didn't seem to dig all the low/mid tones, or get all the targets from the areas with a lot of iron. I couldn't believe the detail on the 1927 buffalo! I also got some really old wheats, 1916, 1918 and 1919. The silver (pin?) was my favorite find. I'm guessing it dates to around the early 1900's based on the design & make. But looking for opinions on this.
My best hunt of 2016 so far. The finds have been very slow here. So was happy to find this spot. 1800's coins are uncommon in my area. So getting the 1893 V nickel was a good start to the year.
