The two portraits are gone now as someone purchased them. I don't buy art at the thrift shops myself, unless the value can be easily ascertained on my smartphone and I find it to be a smoking deal. There were also two framed issues of Harper's Weekly. The one dated Sep. 5th 1863 I did find interesting. The cover depicted an image of Moseby's Guerrillas as bunch of what appears to be drunken savages reaping havoc on Union supplies. It was priced at $29. and change. I couldn't tell if it was the complete issue or just the cover page, so I declined on those, but I do think they were original publications or parts of them.
