Hit a New Beach, 3 rings, 1 Gold!!

Aloha everyone. I hit a new beach today on my side of the island which means only a half hour drive instead of two. Man o Man, now I know why they call these tidal pools "Ice ponds", Whew was the water cold, thought I was back in the Great lakes... There is fresh water that comes up in the ocean tidal pools, and it's really Cold water... Anyways, got a number of coins, a couple of junker rings, and a nice Ladies 14K Signet ring. Also this torpedo looking thing that is Magnetic, so what is it for Got chased out by high tide. HH all. finderzzs

that 14k ring is awesome! the stone looks like hematite, but i am not sure.

They call the torpedo thing a rattle snake egg. If you throw 2 of them in the air at the same time they soung like a rattle snake. The kids love em. They drive me nuts. WTG on the gold.

I think the magnet is a toy - my kids have them. They come in a set of two, and when you throw them up in the air close together, they make a buzzing sound as they stick together through the magnetic forces of each other.

I hope I have as good of luck next Tuesday - I'm driving a couple of hours to do some shallow water detecting at a beach that is brand new to me - never been to it before. I am busy planning the trip and making sure I've got all bases covered for the 4 to 5 hours of water hunting I hope to get in.
