Hit the lane today for 3 hours - :) :)

Low tide tim and I hit the lane around 1m for low tide action around 3:40 or so

Cold, windy and sand is blowing-----------east-northeast 20+

Some people out and some even in the water. As we enter the boardwalk area, we see there is a B I G older model car and truck show on the boardwalk.. Many people looking

Run into tony and sharkhunter and as sharkhunter and I are looking at his silver ring he found, off some distance we see the biggest guy we have ever see..big alum. Scoop, long alum. Shaft-----------super fancy CZ20 mounted on the end with many bells and whistles even I have never seen. I tell sharkhunter it might be the fellow from florida and for it is------------------I give u Mr Gary-----------------said he got tired of digging bullets and decided to see if he could dig some gold-------------he had silver bracelet when we met----------------man is a tall kinda guy.

I manage to snag one cheapo kids ring, some meager clad and fishing rig

Forecast is for monster waves Sunday and Monday, so I will be in the lane for sure. I was really expecting more targets today

Cool pics today. It looks like Tony was using the PI today, do you know how he ended up? Did you cover a lot of ground? I ran into Gary this winter down there, nice guy, there is no mistaking him from afar. Good luck tommorrow, sounds like this wind is here for a few more days. I may try tomorrow, if not Mon. for sure.

i am probably going to go monday after work myself.................tide should be low around 5pm or so

i may miss it by a few minutes, but that is ok

did u see nitehawks ring.................stones look very similar

u just wait 40 days or so

scoop do ok this spin?

i do think we need to go back to the pier..............south side when we can get real low tide toooo

Nitehawk's ring is awesome...Looks like it could be old. Scoop did good, no bends anywhere. I might try and make another one this week if we get a rainy day, slightly different design. We'll see. I would like to get back to the "other" place too.

did your little middle handle on your scoop work ok

I didn't use the middle handle a lot, I think it will come in handy in the water. I used the T-handle most of the time digging the wet sand.
