Use to see these carved into trees, and at place along tracks, and once in a while in town. Thought this was a good place to share them. Dont think some of the Hobo's didnt bury stuff too!

Thanks DocBeav, what I think many fail to get, is that many Hobos would have some pretty big encampments. This is just one example of the signs and symbols they used, they could vary according to region. I think hobos and others rode the rails as soon as the train was invented, and many did so to avoid a paper trail no doubt. I have via my employment, worked with many professional hobos, and they were some real masters at having a stash in just about every town.
