We went to a local church holly fair this morning and picked up some nice gold & silver. In one bag there were two broken chains 1- 14k and 1-18k and one good 14k bracelet for $4.00. 2.3 dwt on the 18k and 1.3 dwt on the 14k. A sterling Anson Co. vintage stick pin for $1.00. Sterling chain for $1.00. Also a really cool antique micro mosaic brooch that dates to about 1860’s-1880’s for $3.00.
Later in the day I went to our local Arc store and picked up this really cute 14k ring for $3.00. It had a hallmark on the bottom of the ring and after research I found that it was made in Warsaw Poland between 1963/1986. About 1 dwt. Not a bad day on the hunt. Awesome! Glad you had a good day. Love finding the high K Gold!

Nice finds congrats. One question though, what's a holly fair?

It’s just a fund raising event for a lot of churches here in New England. They’re usually held on Saturdays from mid November to the first week or two in December. They usually sell crafts and homemade goods and have raffles. But a few of them have a table or two of donated jewelry for sale. That’s where we come in. We’ve done fairly well at these I’ve the years. Nothing extravagant but enough to keep us returning year after year. Being a former chef, I do enjoy the homemade goods as well.

Thanks. I've been stuck down here way too long. We had a cold front yesterday, I took a nap and missed it.
