Went to my new park today, ground was only frozen 3 inches down. So I broke my lucky screwdriver dug 7 qtrs, 5 dimes and 26 pennies no wheats no silver. Also dug a ring looked at it and threw it in the pocket just some junk bling. Got home looked at it and it was real gold and has 13 stones and she's a honker. Usually I freak out and hope it's gold and then nothing. It has Our Lady of Guadeloupe (God is good)and 2 horseshoes for luck. All the luck I need is finding this ring. Thanks for looking Last 2 pictures are before ring had lacquer removed

Wow! What a honker!!!
Big congrats, love those surprise!

Congrats on the ring, it should be worth a few bucks for sure.

Maybe when you clean it up it will look better but it don't look right, maybe mexican gold (high copper amount in that type)

hope it's real. it would be a good chunk-o-gold if it is. however, the color looks off in the first pic. I've seen plenty of plated copper and brass rings, and unfortunately that first pic looks like copper. get it tested if you can. we'll all be hoping the best for you

I have to agree Botb, she looks like EGP ..I would suggest taking to a jewelries', they will give you the full report for free..Gold is something that comes up fairly clean, special 14k. Best of Luck and keep us informed, You could have a real winner..!!

Check it out when it came out of the ground it had a clear lacquer on it causing a weird look. I cleaned it off and did a small file and it looks solid

Dag now it looks very close to what it should be...with the cleaning I am almost sure you do have a winner....keep us inform...

Your never to young to learn, meaning..... me....

when I dug it it was black and peeling thought it was plating but it looked like someone dipped it in clear varnish or nail polish. It rang up in the 40's on the Pro and was only 5 inches down

What number does it read in an air test?

Your lucky screwdriver had met its end so maybe the treasure gods decided to give you something even more lucky.

Yup, the frozen ground did in my digger last week. Tried to pry up the frozen sod and it snapped at the handle. As you can see by the photo, I wore it down pretty good. I guess it was time for a new one anyway!

Truly awesome bling! Congrats!

Your screwdriver gave you a parting gift!
Last year I almost did the same to mine, so I added a little heft to the digging arsenal image.webp
