Had some spare aluminum and some workroom time so I decided to do some building. Now I have to just wait for the thaw to try it out.

It looks like you made a kinda ventouri for the tubes.
Nicely done. I'm planning on building a Bazooka Myself Just to do it and say I have 1. I've research to on the aluminum I'm going to use. what thickness of aluminum did you use and how much does it weight.

I will get a weight and the thickness of the material tonight and post up. It's pretty beefy aluminum and probably over kill. I got it at a recycling center cheap.

The Aluminum is .125. 1/8th inch. The weight is just under 10 pounds.

It's 12 inches wide tapering to 6 inches. 28 inches long and about 5 1/4 inch high.

it's not the gage of aluminum it's the type. 6061 is what I plan on making mine out of. Industrial grade aluminum

but it's a very nice sluice. you should make some videos I'd live to see it

I agree with Jimmy!" 6061 alum" jumped out at me as being a harder alum. I have used it before. plus its (6061) metal requiements isn't needed but if the material is free , that may answer a lot of questions!

I picked the aluminum from a good sized pile of scrap sheets at the scrap yard/recycler. No idea what grade it was but it was a great price so I figure it would be good for tinkering with. It probably isn't 6061 as I made a miller table with it as well and used the skill saw 1/3 cut and bend trick and it didn't crack. But without a brake to bend it I was forced to put some pretty good muscle and rubber mallet work into it. lol

then it's probably 5052.
3003 is really flexible even the thicker stuff.
5052 is marine grade they use it for boats and other stuff so its really good for this stuff
