The pin was from a homestead site occupied until about 1900. Im not sure what type of jewel it is, im sure its fake, but surely they didnt have much plastic for this stuff back then did they? Especially back then in New Mexico (the middle of nowhere) it was a territory back then.

I'd say they are not fake probably real stones.what type ain't got a clue.someone here will help ya out on that,I'm sure.people here are way cool and know what there talking about when it comes to relics to coins or what ever.might take a little while just pachant. Dang gone that's spelt wrong I can't spell worth a crap.sorry.
