Surface find in piles of dirt I have been slowly working through. Hoping for rain everyday until I can get this stuff spread out into more managable detecting depth. Not positive but from research and intel from buddies, pre-civil war militia buckle. I know the eagle has been on many buckles but oddly have not found any that match embossing and have eagle head turned left like this one. Any knowledge appreciated.
