Finally got out today. Went to an 1865 home and farm that I've hunted before, but, I've barely scratched the surface. Anyway, only two keeper's other then the 80#'s of heavy iron:laughing7:.

I noticed what I believe is an eagle on it. DSCF1441.webpDSCF1443.webp Last year I had found a larger one that look's similar. Any help on this one would be appreciated. Hoping maybe at least around the Civil War.

The other is just a plated spoon, but I'm having a problem dating it. It's a WM A. Roger's A1 Plus. I believe they were in business from 1883-2009. I've tried to find the pattern, just to date it, but I'm not having any luck. Again any help on this would also be appreciated.DSCF1428.webpDSCF1426.webp

Not much, but damn good to get out.

Thanks for looking and HH

Getting out is good. Nice button. A bit more cleaning to recover the manufacturer will assist folks who know more about these things than I do. Not sure about the spoon but, I have dug quite a few Rogers spoons. Heck, I think I am using them to stuff my face even.:hello:

I believe the button is a WW1 and onward type. Don't have my book in front of me, but the marking above the eagle is the giveaway.

Yeap post 1902, so not CW. But its a good start for the button collection.

:laughing7:. I posted the larger button with the same design on Tnet, and that was the consensus. I don't know why I thought CW. Just forgot. (AGE) But I'll take it. Thanks for the help gang!

I forget as well, because although the Great Seal design is post 1902, I think the wide edge (band) to the button makes it post 1909? (can't remember the change date?)
