I was able to get out for a couple of hours today before I had to quit, really humid! I found some horse tack( this was a BIG horse)

Someone told me to put aluminum jelly on it to clean it,is that the best way to do that?
 

Button should shine up beautifully with some jelly. Nice find.

I thought that that was off a sheep,don't the horse bells had a square or rectangular top?

Not sure if you US guys use them on sheep, but here & Spain use them on the heavy horse harness.

Sweet button , I have never found an A, C , or any other letter other than an I "Infantry " of course.
Clean it up some more if you wish , I would leave it as is , until I knew my Cleaning Skills were Dam Good.
It to me Looks Great Now Shank & all.
Horse gear from Civil War areas is Cool as well.
