Hot Rolls

A small bank I passed yesterday was friendly but would only sell me two rolls because I did not have an account there. Two hand-packed rolls and I could not resist looking at them as I walked to the car. Solid 40s with 5 90s and 4 duds. Think I'll need to open an account there.

Guys, I dunno how many rolls they had, but I'll open an account and check with them every now and then. Interesting how some tellers are very prickly with the account requirement, and others can't do enough for you, turning the place upside down to find what you want without even asking the question or apparently caring. One thing I've noticed about the really helpful ones -- they're usually happy.

Congratulations on the rolls of silver! You're right the helpful tellers are usually the ones that are happy and probably like their job. I agree with the others that posted,open an account and buy the remaining rolls. Good luck!

I agree on the happy ones being helpful. The mean ones won't crack or budge no matter what!

You got that right. It usually the younger ones that are helpful. I think I can tell before I even get to the window what a teller is going to be like.

If she looks like she is my age and out weighs me by 50 pounds then I get the "sit on your butt teller that KNOWs nobody has any halves and the vault is empty" teller. I am tempted to tell her how well she does her job keeping track of every coin transaction and the vault's contents and all the time glued to that chair.
