how about x 50 vs x70

considering one of them is the 70 really worth the extra money? main concern is depth and discrimination between the two. has anybody owned both and compared them

I have not purchased the x70 yet but have been doing a lot of research before buying...

have you compared the xterra 50 or 70 to a tesoro vaquero for depth? all having manual gb, in what order would you say they are from deepest to less depth

as soon as I make my decision between the cortez and the x70 I will let you know... i have feeling being an id machine it won't have the depth of the vaquero, unless your in all metal..earlier last year I found a half dime at around 7 1/2 inches,, the soil had low mineralization so i did have it turn up a bit... If i get the 70 i will let you know how they compare as far as depth.. also what are you going to be looking for? coins, relics, gold?

The 70 has superior depth to the Vaquero for me. And with the 10.5 DD it takes a back seat to NO one.

It's not only the possible depth advantage of the XT70 vs the Vaquero, but the ability to find tiny/deep targets in tough ground. By tough, I mean highly mineralized and constantly changing. ..Willy.
