How 'bout talking about dowsing for a change.

I'd care to converse about something besides those tests so...

I've been wondering about the pendulum. I haven't gotten or made one yet. The guy that really taught me dowsing can only really use a metal L rod. When I was first learning he wrote a small book for me and talked about how his father used a boxelder or willow branch to dowse for water. He went on to explain how his father did it, but when I asked he stated that he tried and could never really use the branch. He also has tried a little bit with the pendulum but couldn't utilize it very well and so all he ever uses is a brass rod.

Has anyone else found a tendency towards one tool? I've taken a branch from a boxelder and tried it and it doesn't work real well. I believe with practice I could make use of it but even if I could develope great skill with the branch it would never be as versitile as the rod. The pendulum I made a realy poor one with a finger nail clipper and from what I tried it worked quite nicely. Now again in some areas the rod would be much better, but I know many instances where a pendulum would be much better.

Any thoughts?

Hey Sandsted...I too have used some tree limbs to dowse. They will not work for me. I have used rods made of many different materials including wood and plastic. They all seem to work but brass is the best for me. I have been working on map dowsing using a pendulum. So far I find that I can get close and some of the information is correct but I am not happy with my results. I will keep working on this. I have friends that help me when I ask. Some of these people are very good. Dell will give me information when he has time and I find that his locations and historic information are very trust worthy. How all this works is beyond my knowledge. I enjoy information from others because how it works for them is important to me. Once you understand that Dowsing works different for each of us what you pass on may be of value to some one else. So come on people, lets get it going. Tell us how it works for you. You will not be called names on this part of the forum.....Art

My map dowsing isn't extremely accurate, but then I don't care for it to be really. All I use it for is to see generally where and how many ships or habitation buildings there are in this area and then take this sketch and find where they really are and then make a better map.

I found the information concerning Noah's Ark. And have map dowsed on this but it didn't work very well. From my dowsing I was able to confirm that it is indeed a ship and I believe it's date was around 2 thousand something B.C. but this is all the more I could do. Perhaps I should try again, it wasn't reacting very well.

This has happened to me before on different things. Though in all of these instances at some point I was able to dowse on them very well.

Anyway, has anyone tried hand dowsing or body dowsing? I can do it a little bit, but not to the point that I find it at all useful.

All your theories re different tools to use when dowsing go out the window if you wait to dowse when conditions for dowsing are here.

Just about any material will act as an antenna when conditions are ok.
Many years ago , on a really good dowsing day my attention was drawn to an area without a rod in my hand , which later was cofirmed positive.Although I wait on magnetic influence I use aluminium rods which is a conflict of science as we know it. Max

I'm in construction and I use brass "braising" rods to find water lines septic tanks etc.., very reliable! Some of the looks I get are pretty funny! Most people are very skeptical until they see the target unearthed. My brother taught me. Could I find a new well site? I don't know, never laid it on the line for that. It's an expensive mistake if I'm wrong. My ex-wife used the pendulum pretty regularly for a more spiritual purpose. I'm curious about pendulums and maps, can any one tell me more? Thanks, Dan

Let me take this time and try to explain a few things or better yet check out CHARTS on the SHIPWRECK forum.
I explain in detail how I dowse for certain things and what I am working RIGHT NOW. I am conducting some TEST to see if it is possible to locate SHIP WRECKS regardless how deep the water may be. I am convinced that I can do this.
Time will tell.
