The Titanic hit an iceburg on Sunday, but didn't sink untill Monday. If this was such a bad tradagy, how did it take so long?

:laughing9: What time did it strike the iceburg on Sunday and what time did it sink on Monday? You forgot to provided these details. "It's like asking how much wood a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" First we'd have to know all sorts of details, the density of the wood, the biting force of the woodchuck's jaws, the age of the woodchuck, is the woodchuck in good health, etc, etc, etc.

Hit the berg at 11:40 PM Sunday Night... Sunk at 2:20 A.M. Monday morning... time was just under three hours

Bad Captain and crew.

I Heard they made/let the band keep playing too.

It's not like the Stones were doing
their Fairwell tour. & I Doubt the Hooch onboard
was any good.

Bigscoop, did your teacher write the answer beside the question on your tests in school?

Bartholomrober, You must read the same mags that I do. You got it right, but it only took 2hrs & 35min to touch bottom.

Jeff I think you are right about the booze, all the millionairs canceled out of the trip.

They think it was caused by a rare wheather pattern of hot air riding over cold air that greatly distorted the preseved view of distance.

sure it was a big tragedy! is there a time limit on 'a tragedy' to make it 'big'?

:laughing9:

(and a woodchuck can chuck 1,034 pieces of wood in an hr.--ask me how I know! :laughing7:)

Male or female woodchuck? :laughing9: How do you know? :dontknow:

male or female distinction is easy. just see if it scratches anything private in public ;D

males can chuck 1034 in an hr.
females only 1033. at the same time they are multitasking, taking care of the family, cleaning the burrow and more.

:laughing7: Well, I didn't mention the hero part did I?

Guess I approached Frank's question from a different perspective. They had the opportunity to save many more lives but they blew it. Design and lack of regulations made it even worse. :-\

also how can one explain the way you have written the thread title?

ex-plane

:laughing9: that was funny

is the spell check still dead? ::)

I have DE-planed
I have planed (as in wood)
I have walked an inclined plane
I have pondered existence on a different plane

I don't feel the need to ex-plane any of the above.

live free or die

Farmer chick, Yea, my fingers have always had a problem with landing on the wrong "key". Sure miss spell check.

I thought that was all the wood a woodchuck could, if a woodchuck could chuck wood

Spart, It all depends on your prospective. How about a little pussy cat?
