That is how can you differentiate between a cent that was made in error with no copper plating (rare) as opposed to one that had the plating removed via electrolisis?

I have found a few when CRH and set them aside. They weigh the same as a post 1982 cent, but that dosent surprise me since the copper plating would be less than 3% of the coin weight. Any ideas?

I have the same question as well.

What do unplated ones look like?

Okay thanks!

I pulled a cent I thought was unplated a couple months ago. I was extatic, but had a closer look at it, it had traces of copper around the edge of the coin. That's all I can tell ya. I still have the coin because I think it is cool.
