Yeah !... how come?

I was just wondering and yet slightly confused. Where are all the "Save The Gulf" concerts? Where are the T.V. Benefits with celebrities and musicians giving heartfelt speeches on the poor fisherman, wildlife, beaches, loss of income and sabotaged gulf economy? I find it rather strange how these people (including our own government) are so quick to help Haiti and other countries... but sit on their behinds for this one. Just the facts.

Well I just read that there will be a huge star-studded concert in Haiti to benefit the poor fishermen & people who sell tourist crap along the gulf coast..............(yeah right.)

During one of the recent awards shows I pondered that each one of the audience members (5000, and all celebrities) could write a check for $1,000,000 for a charity if they wanted to, and not even notice the difference in their bank accounts.

That would be 5 Billion dollars. I know it's their money to do what they want with, and that some do charity work, but it's an interesting statistic.

Have seen "send your hair" ads.
Not sure what they will do with oily hair....
Need a "BUBBA GUMP" program to salve conciences.

I thought it fitting that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should show up but the legal looting hasn't begun yet so we'll just have to wait and see.
On another note, someone or some organization stated, that it is possible pipes underground could possibly be damaged to the point that this may NEVER stop. I hate the gloom and doom types but it's a scary thought isn't it? If that happens Willie Nelson will have to become a resident down there and sing forever.

Because BP is being expected to foot 100% of the bill. All loses are reimbursed by them. Neither the taxpayers nor charities are expected to pay anything.

That as what I understand the situation to be.

Money cannot replace what has/will be lost in the region affected by this disaster. I don't want to get my blood pressure up, so that's all i'm gonna say about this.
