How do I test a new-to-me GT?

I just received my used GT and I want to make sure its performing normally. Does anyone have some performance checks I can try to make sure its o.k.?

Make sure you can ground balance it in All Metal mode, set toggle in Track and bob the coil till threshold is steady. You can't really compare depth because of different minerals in diff. locals. Test it on various targets in Disc. mode, Threshold ON, Iron Mask ON, Sens. on Auto. Disc on 3, and Notch off. See if you can hear all the targets and see if it nulls on a nail.

Try it around to see if it remains steady threshold, if not, lower Sens. till it steadies.
