how do you clean bottles?

how can you clean off the minerals that build up on the bottles while their in the ground? the picture is an example of a bottle that i want to clean. it has become cloudy from being in the ground, how can i clean it?

I know this might sound wierd but I use Coke -a-cola,any brand will do and leave it in overnight and then rinse with water.

Get some bottle brushes and some fine sand. I put a watery sand in the bottle and shake the dickens out of it. Don't ask me what the dickens is cause I don't know

You can use the brush and the sand together. Try different things until you find what you like best.

You could also try tub and tile cleaners, CLR comes to mind.
