How far can a drill vibrate thru rock?

JUst wondering...the last time I was at the place I'm searching... I heard a high pitch drone sound...did not think to touch rock until late....I felt a vibration...then the sound and touch went blank....I was clearly 200 yards away from where I think it was.....any ideas....Are there electric powered impact drills on the market?

Interesting, do you have been underground when you got this experiences
yes, there are VFD drilling rigs with range between 30 and 50 Hz if you have been underground my guess sounds scary as hell

No sir above… like I said I thought it was a drone until I touched the mountain side then put my ear to it
