the past few trips ive been on have been about 200 miles round trip and i would hit the banks in between. spent about $2000 and came up with nothin. so i was just wanting to see whats everyones routine is like. whether you just hit your hometown, go on road trips, or just sit back and let the boxes come in. also which ones seems to be the most succesfull. lately in Texas it been a dud in all aspects compared to about a month ago. how bout your neck of the woods.......nyiangelo

I think the best way is to order boxes in and search that way. But I still like to find banks and hunt that way but I don't go out of my way. However I do change grocery stores every so often to ask the different instore banks for halves. If I am out of town for a kids sports event I will try to find a nearby bank.

My box yield can range from .5%-1% over the long term.

i don't have a car yet so where ever my parents would take me, or ill stop at any bank around where we are(store, mall, relatives house, etc)

I happen to travel with my work so there is no cash out for gas or real personal time.
If I was anchored, I'd search boxes exclusively or hit banks on my way to plces I have to go anyway.
It's not worth the gas money if you have to go more than 100 miles.
Just my 2 cents...

I've mainly ordered boxes, but I recently started to make some road trips. The farthest I've gone so far is about 25 miles, but I plan to keep spiraling out farther and farther.

Personally, I like to hit the banks. I still order the boxes during the interim. I have pretty much gathered the fruit on the low branches so to speak so now I am having to travel further out. Gas is not an issue because it is paid for by the company my husband works for....time is more of an issue for me. Soon I will be down to boxes only and the occasional road trip.

I drive a lot asking different banks and it turns out to be worth it usually. Gas is expensive but really not a factor. Whats a tank of gas to do something you enjoy doing??

I've gone 100 miles in all directions. Very meager results. My best bet is to do boxes (or bags in my case). Almost no banks have any halves around here, and the couple that do, have been searched.
