How good are your pinpointing skills?

Mine seem to be getting pretty good.

Went back to the mansion for a short hunt. Still, not a lot of finds but I'll take them all day long. LOL

This one's gonna need a long soak.

But, about that question in the title? I had a clean "quarter hit" and knelt down to collect what I assumed to be a clad quarter since it was so shallow. I pin pointed, cut a 4 inch deep plug, slipped my knife under and started to pry the plug up.

This is what I saw. I grabbed the camera one handed so I could keep the plug right where it was:







Pretty good shot! Even if I do say so my own self. LOL

My pinpointing skills:
With an Ace 250: Good
With an AT-Pro: Great
With an Excalibur: OK (better once I learned the Minelab wabble)
With the Deus: Masterful (But I still make a huge plug when I don't have to worry about a lawn, just in case)

Yeah, pretty good shot huh. I'm just lucky I didn't put the knife straight through Miss Liberty! LOL
