What's new

how high will it go?

I don't know but it's at $32.07 @ 7:20 Pacific time! I would guess $35 by April 2nd. (Didn't want to say April first!) ;D

Glad I started buying when it was at 12 an ounce (getting ridiculed by various family members) not to mention the face value silver Ive found CRHing I would say $35 by months end, with whats going on in the mideast it can only go higher not to mention the level of confidence in the current US regime and its economic policies or lack thereof

I'll bet by April it it will hit 50 Swiss Francs to an ounce :laughing7:

We can only hope....Matt

$32.66 now....

I'm guessing $50 an ounce, and a good chance higher than that.

While I am a big fan of gold and silver, I still think we will see a correction in the near term, especially in silver. Long term I think $100 per ounce for silver is a no brainer, if not even higher. But short term I think silver is way overbought. So is the stock market right now too. It would not surprise me to see a sell off in stocks this spring spill over into PMs and cause selling like it did in 2008. I think gold will hold up better in a correction than silver, since silver has gone up higher percentage wise. Even with a big correction I don't think silver will go below 20 at this point. I will be buying again if it drops to 23 or so.

One caveat to this theory is if something really bad happens in the world (even more than all the crazy stuff already going on, like the mid east protests, etc), such as a new war breaking out, etc, which would keep the PMs going up in my opinion and probably at an even faster rate than we have recently seen. Why I still say don't sell what you have unless you have debts that cannot be paid otherwise.

This is all just my wild speculation and opinion.

The correction has already happened. It went down to $26.50 in January and now it's back up.. way up. There is strong resistance at $33.00/oz but yeah by next week.. who knows. As long as a billion people in China and India are buying, it will go up. My guess is that it will reach $35 some point this year. I think it's just catching up to gold. If things continue the way they are without some large catastropic disaster, it will go to $50 in the next couple years.

Like I said.. billion people in China and India driving up prices. They have inflation issues over there. What better way to fight it than buy gold and silver. Billion people in each country is a lot and if all of them are told to buy gold and silver, it is impossible to stop. Not even JP Morgan Chase and Goldmann Sachs can manipulate their way to lower the prices. People don't even want ETF's which are just paper contracts. They want the metal itself. This could be the beginning of the next bubble.

http://www.businesslive.co.za/incoming/2011/02/21/silver-demand-simply-outrageous

The U.S. isn't the top global player anymore.. sad to say. All the jobs go overseas and billions of people over there buy up precious metals to fight the paper money printing by both sides.

I'm not selling any of mine anymore until it hits $50/oz.

every time silver goes up someone asks how high. All the books i read on inflation, printing money, safe havens, supply and demand , etc. ,point to silver going up . Naturaly some corrections are normal and the chance that the govt may manipulate it down are there, just as a confiscation is possible.

I think $40-50 by end of March. What was that song from Beverly Hills Cop....The squeeze is on...

lol how often am i gonna see this post?. Seems every time silver has gone up since ive been on this forum i have seen a post like this.

Well the answer to the question is probably the same answer we have had every time some one asks .

As long as money is being printed, silver is being consumed ,and silver is being bought as a store of wealth then the answer for the long haul is UP!!!!!!
