How much would it be worth?

Hi,
this big medal was found aprox. 8 inches deep at a back garden's house some
3 years ago here in Germany.
In 1944 the house has got an impact of a brand bomb.
It presents a dark patina as if it was in contact with fire or smoke.
This is a conmemorative medal of the first Worldwide Soccer Championship.
As far as I know it is the only one of its kind. How could I know its real value?

I found this on a website, but it seems your medal is the one they don't have a pic for so I'm not sure if it's the same one.

Well,I was in Uruguay some months ago .
They made me a TV interview on this medal in Montevideo.
It was a sensation for them,because this one medal is not at
all similar to the ones 1930 in Uruguay made.
As far as I recherched only one medal of gold was gibben to the
captain of the uruguayan team.All of them were not so large as
this is.
And most important of all: all of them were in spanish written.
This one is in german language ! - In my oppinion,it was made
here in Germany .But it could habe been especially in Uruguay
made for a german fan and he took it later with him back to
Germany. Some kind of collector too. All possibilities are open....
I do not doubt it is an special edition for someone special.
The medal is 3 mm thick .Material unknown.I will later post
Pics from the reverse side,where the patina is visible.
By the way:
in this Link they made a mistake in translation.
"Con ellos por siempre"
in english means " With them forever"

it was designed to hang on the chest. But the eyelet is broken...

Hi Digman,
its weight is 164 gramms.
Material unknown.But probably some kind of alloy.
I do not know how many pounds that means

Was that not produced during the same period that Germany was manufacturing all of those thousands of variants of little aluminum political and sporting pins and badges?

It looks like pitted aluminum to me. It would also seem consistent with the mass produced sporting memorabilia that was made to jazz up the people about being fit Nazis.

The Medal was made during the after 1st World War great depression period of Kaiser Wilhelm.
The so called "Republic of Weimar" .....
For Aluminium is the Medal too heavy. It could be some kind of Zinck alloy with a Silver coat.
Truly it should be put under the microscope for further analysis.
It is difficult to get a price estimation ,since there is no other like it around. I will better wait
in the near future perhaps I'll get such an estimation. Otherwise it will remain in our family for
our children.
