There is no writing on it ,just a U boat? It has two snorkels facing forward.

That looks more like an ironclad than a submarine. Would it be possible to get a better close-up shot?

I believe it's a patriotic/military watch fob from WWI, c. 1917-18.

Don't think so, SS. Doesn't look like the battleship USS Maine, shown below.
