Not sure I pretty much only find items from the 1870's to around 1910 where I'm at. To me , it looks pretty old,is that a pontil ?

I don't think that it is colonial but I do think that it is old. Mid 1800's for sure.

I'd run a metal detector in that area if you've got one.
