Found it in an old wall near a 1800s gentry house

I see one the same that is 1940s/50s.

Any idea of an age by expert horse shoe studyers

just a guess but Ill go with 1940s to 1950s....:dontknow:

1940's, 50's, 60's ------------->2019

are they for a horse and carriage

So is that they could date 40s, 50s to 2019

My guess is mid 1800. Who cares it’ll throw purdy good :laughing7:Horse shoes
Are purdy common.

Not pitted enough to be mid 1800

It was buried in a wall

I found 3 at an old site and they turned out to pretty modern. It sucks

Think this might be modern

so you think this might be modern?

Keep in mind i've cleaned the rust of it

Great looking shoe, mine are always toast! :icon_thumleft:

It had a thin full layer of rust on it before I cleaned it up

No.. not really, but if it only had a light dusting of rust, It is more than likely quite recent.

Usually the common 100 year old ones already have huge pieces fully rusted away that i find anyway.To me that looked super modern before it was cleaned just my opinion.
