The autonav systems have limitations, which is why we were all issued Mark I eyeballs. In aircraft, I'm told, pilots are told to trust their instruments. When driving- trust your eyes!I have had my Garmin system tell me to turn on roads with different names than what the "box" told me. Remember, the autonav is only as good as the person entering the information - folks today have forgotten all about the old computer saying, "GIGO" OR "Garbage In, Garbage Out". As far as being in the field, I've never been lead astray by either of my handheld GPS. With WAIIS (WAAIS?) enabled, and a clear line of site, I am often within 6 - 9 feet of what I am seeking. Better than a compass.
