I bought a second hand sharp shooter II and I am looking for a coil cover 8" but all the sites want to know if it is 2008 or older it takes a different cover or if newer it takes a different cover. other than that the sharp shooter II has been doing well. I also have the BH pinpointer and even it is doing a decent job. but anyway back to the real question is how to tell year it was made?
thanks

If I were u id look it up on bounty hunter websight the company not some place WHO sells they should b able to put it in there computer & tell u they will know its what alot of people do to find out if a machine has or is under warrenty from factory. Another note I have heard those r a pretty good little machine glad u like it & welcome to tnet theres alot of great people here its like a second home for some lol good luck

well I spoke with First Texas Product Bounty Hunter and was told the Sharp Shooter II was not given a serial number so they really don't know how old my unit is or how to tell the age. that just does not sound right as my face plate looks different from another sharp shooter I have seen.

What if ah u look up manuals for it would there b a date in there of mayb when those came out like from 19**-19** they used this specific model
