Maybe the GPS/Maps function of your phone/tablet to locate the exact address and then use your local property appraisers for the owner, then you might have success using www.pipl.com to locate the owners phone number?

Here in MA...that info can be had at the local tax assessor's office (in each town). For vacant land with no visible address that has frontage on a street... I would note address for the nearest house on each side(and across the street if applicable), the approx length of frontage, and the proximity to any other close landmarks like street intersections etc.The maps at the tax office can then be consulted for a map & parcel #, which can then be referenced to the listing of property owners.Unless you live in an extremely rural area, it shouldn't be too difficult to narrow it to a small handful of potential owners at worst. It is becoming much more common to find this info online. Search "GIS (name of town or county) Good Luck!

You might be able to find the owner of the land with this site. Go to google and type in Beacon and click the first search result, click continue and find your state if its on their. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll give them a try and see what I can find :occasion14:

The one no sign no fence just go hunt it ..... I would.... and i do ..... and i never had any problems ....

First result brings up a local town newspaper online and the rest of the whole first page doesn't seem to show anything relavant. Can you be more specific Beacon what??

Sorry i havent been on. Go to beacon.schneidercorp.com/

My Assessor's site has a map along with address search. VERY convenient!

Keep your eyes open on foreclosed properties which are everywhere. Nobody seems to care if you are hunting there. Any nosey neighbors I always wave and say Hi. I have had no problems.

Oh me oh my NJcigarman and keppy, how can you do such things? To hit random forests/woods, or an abandoned property with no fences or signs? Sheesk. I won't even hit a city SANDBOX without the express written permission from the mayor of any town I come to. And when I come to an abandoned corner lot, I stay on the sidewalk, and do not take the short-cut trail across. So please recant of your wayward ways, and we will let you back on the forum. Thankyou.
