I was doing some research in old colonial records, and it is saying stuff like, "The house is in the south east corner of plot number 21, on the side of the whatever road." Is there anyway I could figure out where each plot of land is on a map, I haven't been able to locate plots. I am not even sure if the plot numbers would be the same, or if they are removed from records after the house is gone. Any help if much appreciated.

You'll need to find the old plot map for the town your researching and then overlay or compare it to your modern map. I've had old plot maps from Virginia City and Goldfield Nevada that I wish I still had. Good luck with your hunt
