There is lots of trash , and the mud is real soft , lots of old broken bottles . How could I stay atop that soft mud . Smells too lol black mud

Snow shoes would keep you from sinking into the mud.

A lot of Duck Hunting catalogs have items that go over your shoes to walk in muck. Kind of like a plastic snowshoe. Hope that helps.

Wait till the tide comes in , and use a kayak or other flat bottomed boat. Of course you would then need a water proof coil.
