Been lurking for awhile and finally got a new rigs for Christmas. (BH Quick Draw Pro and BH Junior).

Been very interested in metal detecting and treasure hunting for many years and I am very excited to start a new hobby. My youngest boy and I have been watching Gold Rush, Bering Sea Gold, Oak Island and Diggers for years and we both share the excitement associated with history and chasing treasure.

We both got new machines and can't wait to get out to learn and look. We are in Washington state and hope to run into other folks with similar interests. Glad to have found this site as our landing spot and we look forward to sharing our adventures with everyone as well as picking your brains.

Thanks for the welcome. We are on the Olympic Peninsula near Silverdale. I did snoop in the Washington section of the forum.

The first thing I want to do is look for information related to my detector and setting it up. I read about air detecting for setup but I need/want to look into basic setup and or hints and tips to get started. I also went through the Bounty Hunter section and browsed for any posts related to the Quick Draw Pro. I would appreciate any and all help related to my detector.

Hopefully I can link up with others that use the same detector.

Welcome aboard. Don't overlook the obvious (like your front lawn) looking for the motherlode. It's a lot of fun, and if you clean your gutters and look at where the downspouts end, pan that for micrometeorites!
