While digging at an old house I found this beautiful men's 10k ring. Didn't see the Roman coin (copper) until I cleaned it up. After having it tested as 10k, I also learned it has about $200 worth of gold in it. Best find I've had in a loooong time.

Any help with the coin ID? It's pretty crusty but some details are clear, as is the head.

Constantius II or Constantius Gallus, probably 340-355 AD.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Interesting find.
What I find odd that someone would put an invaluable Roman coin in 10kt Gold Ring! So I'm guessing it might have been a special detecting find that they wanted on their person for luck, like they do the Spanish Cob necklaces.

dang thats sweeeeeet

Awesome! [emoji16]
