Huge Lion Behind Bars Print

Howdy All, I picked up this huge framed print last night. It is 47 inches by 35 inches. The print seems to be on hardboard and the frame is oak . The thing that caught my eye was the wooden cage door across the front making it look like the lion is in a cage. It came out of a hotel in New York many years ago and the owner thought it was 1880s. I am debating between keeping it and selling it. I really like it but wall space is limited. Any ideas on age, rarity and value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve

Do a Google image search on 'Antique "Cage" frame lion'.

You will see a number of similar. Two of them implied early 20th C. (1920 - 1930).
