Found these two yesterday..posted in coin forum but no help..

Anyone know what they are??

Also how should I clean them without destroying them?

Well they look like a Lead-alloy to me, so DO NOT clean them at all.

I wouldn't rush to clean them until all of the 'experts' here have weighed in. Those coins are obviously very old and need to be properly handled. Great finds!

Usually cleaning is for coins that havew been dug, and that have detail obscured by gunk, grim, crust of some sort, and needs to be cleaned to be IDed.

One thing to remember is that cleaning / further cleaning can always be done, but generally you can't undo cleaning.

Cleaning Lead will take off the oxided layer, even with just water. The Id should be simple to the right person, no cleaning needed.

Yes, but there is PLENTY of detail to ID them with. If you clean, you risk losing that detail. So why would you? I don't know what that coin is, but it is not because there is a lack of detail to ID. Post it in the "What is it?" section of the forum.

As they are Lead it would suggest they are a token instead of coinage. Just store like a normal coin; in a tray or acid-free coin wallets.
