First post of the year. I found these in a tiny stretch of woods in my home town. There is a copper belt buckle, a cast iron saddle, and an old silver ring. The ring is plain on top. Not sure if it said something at one time and wore off over time. Around the top it says E pluribus Unum. On the sides is an eagle over a shield. No other markings except for sterling. I was thinking of customizing it to wear, but if anyone thinks otherwise, let me know. Any information on any of the finds would be great.

Sweet find !

WOW! That's an impressive piece!

the ring is WW2 vintage, and was evidently offered with the emblem of which-ever branch of service you served in attached to the top. My guess is that they were glued on somehow. If you will do a google image search for 'antique e pluribus unim ring' you will see a few identical ones with the service insignia on the top

Fine looking silver! A keeper for sure!
