Found this very large tooth while looking for arrowheads in an erroded river bank. It was partially or mostly exposed but very muddy and I thought at first it was a man made object. After a little cleaning and study I realized it was a large tooth from a large mammal. Only large mammals here in Virginia today are cows and horses but I have compared pics and don't see anything quite like it. Just looking for someone to identify it and also an educated guess of it's age. Looks really old to me but I am not a fossil expert. Thanks.
