Show and tell time again. I had two hunts on Saturday. Most of the day at one permission and found 13 Wheat pennies, a colonial flat button, a smooth King George the II Colonial half penny, and a hem weight. Then in the evening I went out until dark at a different permission with a friend and found 15 more Wheat pennies, 5 Indian head pennies in crusty IMG_0002.webpIMG_0003.webpIMG_0004.webpIMG_0005.webpIMG_0006.webpIMG_0007.webpIMG_0009.webp condition, only four in the picture as I lost one that must have not made it in the pocket, and an old token from 1928, Thurston The Magician. I never heard of him but my research says he was more famous than Harry Houdini. I slept really good Saturday night as I was one tired old man. Almost forgot, the larger item next to the hem weights is a homemade lead pendulum bob for a clock. 28 Wheats and not one silver, go figure. Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Once I get to ten wheats, I figure I'm prime for at least a silver dime. Maybe next time you go out you'll dig a half.

Gonna need some milk with all your wheaties! Good luck on some silver next time out.

Great finds - well done !

Thanks. For the life of me, i know some silver should have showed up. Maybe next time. Most of the wheats were 6 inches and deeper.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

The term you used " wheat harvest " cracks me up and led me to read your post. Wheaties are always fun to dig, means there was activity in that area. Did not know what hem weights were til I saw them here. Always learning...good post !
