Is this the real thing?
It might be. Best to be certain. Don't disturb the area! Contact local coroner, and have them investigate further. You might have stumbled onto a crime scene, and the less you disturb it, the more that can be learned.cryptic said:Is this the real thing?

how long has it been?watercolor said:bigcypresshunter said:It was smart to post here first. You cant call the police out to check every set of animal bones found in the woods.
About three weeks ago our neighbor found a similar-looking bone in their backyard. . . a day later after giving their "find" some thought, they called the police and a young officer responded to their call. The bottom line was he said they couldn't dig, plant or weed the garden until the coroner gave his OK. (they still haven't heard anything yet :P)

That is too funny. Maybe cryptic can save the bones and bury them in opposite ends of where he wants his garden next year. . . .then call the authorities. Be sure to leave one sticking up out of the ground. It shouldn't take the squad too long to dig the whole garden.
