I don't do much with these. Most of the ones I see sell for $40 or less (much less) & are priced higher than that here. One thing I do know is that the marks are all important. Identical figurines with different marks can have vastly different values.

Here's some close ups of ones that intrigued me... No names of course...but the boxes are all there to every piece....packed away in larger boxes..

What I have noticed, the internet has cut prices & lowered the values 10 yrs ago. Then the Berta Hummel figurines came out & sent the collectability down the drain.
I'm an auctioneer 15+ years & when they come up, V bee marks bring $15-25 each. I do have a collection of Crown & early mark Hummels, Baker etc & I havn't even bothered to look them up anymore, just leave them in the display case.
Yes look them up before bidding & MAKE sure their not broken/glued/cracked/crazed or chipped.

I just looked on ebay, over 29,000 listings on Hummel, lots of competition. relist, relist relist, relist relist, relist relist, relist relist, relist relist, relist!!!!

The Internet has cut prices on collectibles across the board.. I seen one broken piece and maybe 2 with crazing out of all those pieces... This person cherished these dearly to keep the boxes and have 99% in pristine condition..

Also keep in mind that they are marked W Germany. There is no longer a W. Germany since the wall came down only Germany.

Every mark you pictured is relatively new. In general those are the least valuable. There are exceptions due to limited production but I'd be very careful on these.

I bought 179 pieces of it at $2 per piece..... Paid a bit bigger money for a few others... I guess I'm about to learn hummels!![emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

I am by no means an expert at Hummels, but at $2 each I would say you made a great score. I would have paid that much if I saw them marked for that. I will give you my 2 cents for what I would do. I would sell those that bring $20 or more each individually. Then the rest I would put in lots of 20-40 pieces each and sell them that way. I have used lots for large numbers of collectibles numerous times. If you sell them on ebay or whatever in lots for say $5 to $10 each, you make a good profit and if 1 or 2 happen to break during shipping, you can give a small partial refund and still make a good profit. That is what I would do with them.:icon_king:

I probably would have been a buyer at $2 each.

My wife's grandmother (now deceased) used to collect those. I do know that the older the better. Also, some were only available to Hummel club members. She even had a couple she bought at the factory.
Never did price any out.

It always makes me sad to see any collection that was loved by someone auctioned off. But such is life........

That is how I learn. Buy and find out. But at $2 each you will do ok.

I sold about 30 Hummels on Facebook a few years back, very easy without the shipping hassle.

I have a lady that loves them and I offered her choice after a researched and got all the bigger ($30+) ones separated from the cheaper more common ones... At $15 a piece..... She wants multiples... Over time.. She buys a load of jewelry off me so she gets 1st crack at the commons...

Let us know if you find any rare ones. At $2 each it was a no brainer. :icon_thumleft:

I've sold 2 already for $175 total.

Damn!! I've not got done shipping these things for over a week... Selling 1-3 a day... Craziness!!! Investment is recovered off 19 pieces... I can barely keep up listing and packing what's sold...
