I believe that is a moth, not sure of it's scientific name but it gathers nectar from various flowers. It usually is active late evenings and at night. Thanks for sharing your photo's! :thumbsup:
 
old digger I belive your right being moths. First I've seen.
 
Those little critters have a name, not sure but I want to say it's hummingbird moth. I've had one humming around in my flower bed, most unusual looking lil thing. You got some good shots!!

They are white-lined sphinx hummingbird moths.
