Relic Hunting
Hello Everyone,

Today, my daughter and I went hunting for five hours at various (school, park and field) places. The temperature was around 42 degrees with little wind, nice for digging. The ground in some of the places was frozen one inch below the surface and needed to be “asked” rather harshly with a Raptor 25 C to give up the goods. In this weather clad coin surface finds are always welcome. All in all, a great time hunting with my daughter with some silver surprises. She found the only silver coin a 1902 Barber dime. Another silver cross was found, I think that makes seven since last January; “someone” is telling me something! Cleaning out the clad at those places was fun and profitable with $ 4.75 dollars today and $ 7.48 yesterday totaling $12.23 dollars! We also found some jewelry, an eagle military button and the usual trash.

Thank you for looking.

GL & HH

Doc

You and your daughter are just knockin' it outta da park!! At this rate you'll have one heck of a pile of silvers!!

Congrats! I love finding silver and Barbers are high on the list.

Sounds like it was a Great day, you two have been killing it together!!

Love the special shared hunts.

Tell your daughter I said, "Big congratulations to you. Well done!"

Hello Deershed,

My daughter is very good at the hobby, loves to go out and finds a lot of jewelry! I sure hope she leaves some for her father.

Doc

Yep, it's looking to be a fine year.

WTG!

Congrats! Nice 2 day total. Glad your daughter found some silver. I've taken three of my daughters hunting, but they are a little young still and get bored if they aren't finding something every 2 seconds! :laughing7: My 11 year old is starting to really hang with it, though. Good luck on future hunts!

Hey Doc, I love those silver crucifixes you have been finding, maybe He is telling you your doing the right thing hunting with your daughter? That's the best part of your hunt, the time you two get together, priceless.

Loved the post Doc, you 2 are pulling the goods. Give your daughter a thumbs up from me for the Barber. I've only dug 3 Barber dimes in as many years. With 2 hunts in myself in 2017 I am at $17.70 face value of coins dug.

Loco-digger that is a very nice haul of clad! :occasion14:
