Went to a old city park go with t-bucket. I found this door lock plate but threw it into my junk pouch. I was cleaning out my pouch to go for another hunt and I looked at it again. I thought I should clean it up to check it out. What great detail it has on it. Checked into it and found out it was Eastlake Style from 1870 to 1890. So I thought I would post it for everyone to see.

Good you didn't throw it away. Lots of antique/architectural salvage companies buy and sell those kind of things to people looking for authentic items for renovations. Could bring you a few dollars and its too beautiful to toss.

Definitely not junk. Nice find

Nice find...looks in good shape to be in the ground for any length of time.

Thanks Everyone for looking. I don't know if anyone can see it, but there is a stairway with crosses and angels walking up it.

Beautiful piece, bet you can get some nice coin for that, like gas money for more MD trips!
Never know what we'll find out there, huh?
Nice treasure, nice find.

It's a beauty,very interesting and unique find!!

That's a real nice one, better than any I've seen or dug in a good long time. For some strange reason, I've always loved digging up key hole brass, the more decorative, the better. Maybe it's that "hippy, doors to perception thingy left over from too many rock concerts. Yeah, that's it. Soon I'll be dropping some Mesc, and listening to Hendrix. Wow, getting off tangent here. Have yet to find one with a "buzzer hole". I've even attached a couple to nice pieces of wood, drilled out where the key would fit, and hung them on the wall. Uh oh, back to that hippy tangent again. Great find,
CurbdiggerCarl
