Hard to believe it, but just under the surface it was still bone dry and hard digging! Ended up with 5 wheats, a 1957 silver Rosie , what appears to be a flattened wheat cent and some doo-dads. I will try that old yard again when the moisture returns.

Congrats on the silver and wheats....do you think this flattened wheat was done on a RR track?

nice score on the silver.... I know what you mean too about the ground being dry when you think it shouldn't be....strange, nice finds though...good luck going back!
