He uses a Minelab 3030 :dontknow:

Wow! Show your buddy the power switch on his machine. No, wait, don't. Just quietly follow behind him. Great finds.

Haha good one Tom. I used my E-trac for 1 find then put it in my suv to grab the AT-Pro. Me and her just click lol Thinking I may sell the E-trac.

Cool finds! You can find a lot from those so called "hunted out" sites. :icon_thumleft:

I love it when I hear those words, pounded by others, hunted out. Glad you stood up to the challenge and scored the goods. Well done. Wow, sell your E-trac? Most E-trac users I know are like married to that machine. I'm sure you could find a buyer.

That's an excellent outing. Just goes to show you, no place is ever hunted out. I love the Skeleton Key.
Congratulations

Yeah I know and that's why I purchased one to give it a shot. I even purchased a 6x8 SEF coil for it as well but it just doesn't pick targets out of the iron like I can with the AT-Pro with a 5x8. I think its better for cleaner ground like fields and beaches to find deep targets. For now, I'm married to my AT-Pro :laughing7:

Everyone's target field preference varies and the gear you choose should fit your hunting conditions. Many factors go into choosing a machine. At nearly 56 years old the weight of the machine is a factor for me. Also the ease of setting up the machine. I reckon being an Explorer II driver for several years I could do pretty well with an E-trac but, it still weighs a bit more than I'd like to swing these says. Also being multi frequency it's a slower machine to process signals. That's fine for working hunted out sights looking for the deep coins but, working new trashy sights can be a bear with that technology. I use my AT Pro for the water only. I do love getting wet when it's too darn hot to hunt parched earth. You seem to be doing fine with your AT Pro. I have a new guy in my region using one and he's been sucking old coins out of the earth like a maniac with his. I sure wish I was younger some times.

great finds, congrats
