Yesterday, I hunted just outside of Unadilla NY, along the path of the Old Susquehanna Turnpike. I found four coins only being able to see the date on this one 1787

Were they near each other? Looks like you've found a good spot...I imagine there's more to recover....
 

Kg 3 .. Connecticut copper .. Hibernia .. drape bust pretty good finds the kg3 is in wonderful shape

Im hoping one day to find something pre 1800 but given our short history here im not holding my breath.

The copper says Vermon on it , is that not for Vermont?

They were spaced randomly within a total of a 1/4 mile. Right now they are haying the fields along State Highway 357 and a perfect time to go through find targets mark them and then go back and with a smaller coil and make sure they are real targets then dig them.
 

Yep - it's a Vermont copper, a much tougher find than Connecticut in my book.

Edited to add: it's one of the 1787 or 1788 Bust Right varieties.
