Hunting Areas near Edgewood Maryland. Not looking for family secrets

Hello,
I haven't been MDing in 5 years. My husband bought some detectors in 2007. I am looking for some areas within 20 miles of Edgewood, Md for me to have some fun. Not looking for your favorite secret spots just some spots that are legal, hassle free with potential to yield some items of atleast some interest. I do like old stuff but I would be thrilled to find anything other then foil and pop tops. Any help you can give me would be great. I just bought a new gps in preparation for todays new hunter or can use my smartphone phone. If precise spots aren't available general ideas would be great. No long trips just some areas i can check after work. Thanks to all.

Funny how that goes.... I live in Edgewood, B.C.... Lots of places up this way... ghost towns, drowned towns, beaches, etc.
