hunting with charlie

wow, still great hunting weather and some really great hunting finds lately too, good going all you guys!!
maybe closing this place down for a week every now and then will get a few more people out the door and away from the dummy box ...good finds to follow


I was just saying the other day, "I need a Spanish coin for the year", well I guess that meant there was one out there waiting to be dug up....my old friend Carolus! Plough kissed and holed, but I still like it.

Nice old button too, crown, hands shaking, and what looks like PM, slightly domed, can't get much off the backmark right now...any info appreciated.

I'm hoping to stir up something nice again before the weather changes, the nice days are spurring me on.

Never new the coin was holed, and when I seen the button my first reaction was non military (how it was made), but seeing the crown had me confused. Now that it's cleaned it makes sense, but I'm still confused, just in a different way... never seen one before.

yeah it's a different one, you need to up your stakes and takes, and the hole surprised me when I saw it too!
